It will take place from 14-17 May at The Hofburg in Vienna, Austria.

Save the date in your diaries and look out for further details on registration which will be made available shortly on the EBW website.

MICROBE experts will participate as presenters of the first results of our project by inspiring talks and interesting posters. BBMRI-ERIC MICROBE is also SAB Member.

With great pleasure we announce the upcoming Food System Microbiomes 2024 International Conference! This new conference will address microbiomes across the food system and will take place in beautiful Torino, Italy, from 14-17 May 2024. Link to conference website.

The Food System Microbiomes 2024 International Conference is organized as part of the newly founded MicrobiomeSupport Association, a follow-up of the Coordination and Support Action MicrobiomeSupport. We aim to further increase the awareness of food system microbiomes across different stakeholder groups, and this scientific conference is one of the planned activities of the new association.


On 14th - 15th May 2024 there will be a COS-EMBL workshop taking place in Heidelberg, Germany. 

It is tailord to young scientists seeking dialogue with other experts in the field of Microbiomes related to plants and to explore the latest in plant biotic interactions research and its ecosystem impacts.

Securing the Crop Microbiome for Agri-Bioscience Research

Thursday 26th October: Official launch of the UK Crop Microbiome Cryobank at the John Innes Centre- "Securing the Crop Microbiome for Agri-Bioscience Research" – An overview of the approach to biobanking of samples and their subsequent characterisation and how to make this available to the user community will be provided.

 This is an open meeting, for any researcher or stakeholder interested in the rapidly developing area of agri-microbiome science and biobanking that supports the user community.

Friday 27th October: "The Power of Microbes in Sustainable Land Use and Food Security" - A meeting organised by Applied Microbiology International.


From 19th to 22nd of September 2023 the 41st ECCO meeting will take place in Brussels, Belgium. ECCO is the European Culture Collections´  Organisation and promotes collaboration and exchange of ideas and information about all aspects of culture collection activity. The ECCO meeting will be held at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. 

MICROBE will be presented there with a poster and experts participating.


On 26th and 27th of October 2023 our project partner CABI invites to participate at the official launch of the UK Crop Microbiome Cryobank and a meeting organised by teh Applied Microbiology International.
